Why did we choose LA?

Los Angeles is one of the world’s leading sporting cities and the entertainment capital of the (Western) world. This mix of sport and entertainment, supported by a large, diverse population and a growing football culture means there is a ready-made fan base in LA for the GPFL.

LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, often referred to by its initials LA, is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world’s most populous megacities. LA is the commercial, financial, and cultural centre of Southern California.

LA is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, Hollywood film industry, and sprawling metropolitan area. The city lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and into the San Fernando Valley.

The city sprawls across a broad coastal plain situated between mountains and the Pacific Ocean; the much larger Los Angeles county, which encompasses the city, contains some 90 other incorporated cities, including Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and Long Beach.
